About the Film
An estimated 16.8 million people in the U.S. are caring for a child with disabilities or complex medical needs. The demands of daily life and chronic stress can negatively affect the mental and physical wellbeing of parent caregivers. With few who understand their situation, caregivers often feel alone in their struggle.
The UNSEEN documentary takes a raw, honest look at the parent caregiving experience. If caregivers are ever going to get the support and resources they deserve, they first have to be seen and heard. UNSEEN puts faces and stories to this issue to enable change for the caregivers in our community.
National Family Caregivers Month Global Screening Event
November is National Family Caregivers Month, a time to recognize and honor family caregivers.
We are pleased to host a global, virtual screening event of the UNSEEN documentary during the month of November to raise awareness of caregiving issues, educate communities, and increase support for caregivers.
This event will attract caregivers and their families, healthcare professionals, and community leaders.
